About

IMG_0431I was born in Wales, but moved to Canada as a young child. My family eventually settled in beautiful British Columbia, and I grew up on the Pacific coast.

A firm believer that every man looks good in a uniform and that every girl loves a sailor, I married mine soon after I graduated from the University of BC. While not quite the boy next door, he was close. The sailor and I both come from the same small town and I went to high school with his younger brothers.

After following him to Nova Scotia (friendly, but way too cold for this West Coaster) and England (fascinating, but way too crowded for this small town girl), our little family is finally back on Vancouver Island.

  1. We visited Victoria a few years back while on an Alaskan cruise. We loved it. We had such a great time walking around the boat houses. My sons loved it, and we made up a mystery while we toured the area. One of those days that remains vivid in my mind. No teenage eye rolls or grunts either. πŸ˜‰

Thanks for visiting y site. I appreciate it!

    • I’m impressed Victoria passed the teenage boy non eye roll test! I love it, so I can attest Victoria would also be a lovely destination for lady tourists who enjoy shopping and afternoon tea. You have a wonderful blog–I enjoyed my visit. Thanks for stopping by mine!
